Description
The Native Irish Honey Bee Society – NIHBS
The Native Irish Honey Bee Society is an all-Ireland association whose main objectives are to promote the conservation, study, improvement and reintroduction of the Native Irish Honey Bee, Apis mellifera mellifera, also known as the black bee, throughout the island of Ireland.
To achieve this we aim to establish areas of conservation to preserve Apis mellifera mellifera and to work for a ban on the importation of bees and queens. For further information about The Native Irish Honey Bee Society click here.
